Accessibility Statement

The International Esports Federation is committed to making IESF Academy usable by the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or the technology someone uses to get here. Esports is played by everyone, and the systems that support it should be usable by everyone too.

IESF Academy is partially conformant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. “Partially conformant” means that parts of this site do not yet fully meet the standard.

We have not yet completed a formal accessibility audit of this site. We intend to commission one. We are publishing this statement now rather than waiting for it, so that anyone who hits a barrier has a way to tell us about it today.

We already know the following areas need work. This list is not exhaustive, and it will be replaced with audited findings once the audit is complete.

• Course video lessons do not yet consistently carry captions or transcripts. Captions are being added as new course content is produced.
• Downloadable course materials (PDFs supplied by instructors and partner academies) are not always tagged for screen readers. We are working with publishers to improve this.
• Interactive assessment components — quiz and exam players, including timed exams — have not yet been fully verified for keyboard-only and screen-reader use.
• Certificates are generated as PDFs and are not currently tagged documents.

If you encounter a barrier that is not listed here, please tell us using the contact below. It is genuinely useful, and it is how this list gets shorter.

Please include, where you can:

• the address (URL) of the page you had trouble with;
• a short description of what went wrong;
• the device, browser and any assistive technology you were using.

We will acknowledge your report within 10 working days and tell you what we intend to do about it. We prioritise barriers that stop someone completing a task entirely — enrolling on a course, sitting an exam, or claiming a certificate.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate to the national authority responsible for enforcing accessibility requirements in your country. Each European Union member state designates its own enforcement body under the European Accessibility Act.

Accessibility of IESF Academy relies on the following technologies working in combination with your browser and any assistive technology you use: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WAI-ARIA.

This statement is based on a self-assessment carried out by the International Esports Federation’s development team. It has not been independently reviewed. We intend to commission a formal audit against WCAG 2.2 level AA, and this statement will be updated with its findings.

This statement was prepared on 3 August 2026. It is reviewed at least annually, and after any major release of the academy.
